A representative from Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice (Gemma) came into a recent assembly to congratulate the students. After completing the sponsored Reindeer Run on 19th December, they managed to raise a grand total of £1,273.42 including additional contributions for the end of term non-uniform day.
We would like to say a big thank you for the generous support of family and friends. Some students raised an impressive amount of money through their sponsorship.
Overall it was an enjoyable and successful day, which would not have been possible without the work of some of the Year 11 students who helped to organise the event as part of their volunteering section for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.
These same students are currently organising collections of old stamps and coins in school so that we can continue to support Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
