Parents/carers, students and teachers agree that homework is an integral part of learning, is useful and should be seen as part of consolidating the learning experience. It can make a significant contribution to developing skills in organisation, self-discipline and resourcefulness and as preparation for future life.
Homework can take many forms and can show progress being made. Parents/carers should expect that their children may need assistance with homework and are encouraged to support within the home environment.
The school recognises that some children may struggle with undertaking school work in a home environment and in cases where this causes difficulties, the school will be able to offer support to enable homework to be completed at home and/or at Homework club.
