Bank Teaching Assistants required

Pay scale WMAT 4-10 to 4-16 (approx. £10.07 ph)

We are an outstanding special secondary school for students with moderate learning difficulties and other additional needs, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum. We are looking to increase our pool of bank teaching assistants to support teaching and learning in the school with classroom, small group or 1:1 work. Hours to be worked are as and when required by the school to cover staff absence and are sometimes at short notice. Please see the job description and person specification below.

Part-Time Maths Teacher required from January 2021

FTE 50/100 - to be worked over 3 mornings and 1 full day (Wednesday)

Salary main scale plus fringe and SEN1 allowance

The Abbey is a strong and vibrant special school for 110 students from years 7 to 11 who are mostly working at a key stage 1 or 2 level. Our students have a range of learning and additional needs with about one in three having a diagnosis of autism.

We are seeking a very experienced part time primary maths teacher who can take responsibility for maths throughout Key Stage 3. We are very keen to develop further a practical and kinaesthetic approach to the teaching of Mathematics and you would be a key lead in this. You may also be required to take on the shared role of form tutor. Please see the job description and person specification below.
