Friends of The Abbey School
The Abbey has an active association of parents, carers, grandparents, school staff and other friends. All members of the school community are automatically members of the Friends association and welcome to attend meetings, as well as events. The association operates in accordance with the written constitution and has a committee of elected members and a board of trustees.

All parents/carers, friends and family member supporters welcome.
The Friends have a programme including 3 major fund-raising and social events throughout the academic year:
- Annual Grand Draw & Family Bingo Evening - Friday 22nd November 2019
- Quiz Night (adults only) - To be confirmed for March 2020
- Family Fun Day & BBQ - To be confirmed for July 2020
As well as these opportunities to meet other families, share ideas and support, The Friends also have their own Facebook group exclusively for parents and carers of students at the school.
Additionally, the Friends raise money by holding raffles at school events, running a termly 50:50 Club and encouraging everyone to donate when they shop online by using sites such as The Giving Machine and Amazon Smile.
