Friends of The Abbey School

The Abbey has an active association of parents, carers, grandparents, school staff and other friends. All members of the school community are automatically members of the Friends association and welcome to attend meetings, as well as events. The association operates in accordance with the written constitution and has a committee of elected members and a board of trustees.

Details of events and meetings will be posted here and communicated via the school newsletter.

The Friends have a programme including 4 major fund-raising and social events throughout the academic year:

As well as these opportunities to meet other families, share ideas and support, The Friends also have their own Facebook group exclusively for parents and carers of students at the school.

The Friends of The Abbey are now on easyfundraising. This is a great way to make a little bit of money from everyday shopping and it doesn’t cost you a penny! We’d love your help.

Vehicle Show and Family Fun Day

In addition to the fundraisers organised by FOTAS, one of our parents, Nicky Banham, and her family run an annual vehicle show and family fun day at Anstey Park in Alton (GU34 2NB). This year the event will be on Sunday 12th July 11a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free for spectators, but if you would like to show a vehicle or book a pitch for a stall, please contact Nicky at abbeyschoolfunday@gmail.com or via the school. Likewise if you would like to volunteer to help on the day, please.
