Year 9 Residential 2025 - Isle of Wight

Day 1 of our school residential was a huge success! The students are happy, looking out for each other, and really enjoying themselves. We started with an exciting ride on the Giant Swing in the sunshine. Then, we had an intense Aeroball tournament that wore everyone out in a good way.

After a big dinner, we ended the day with a fun game of laser tag. The best part was watching the students try to tag Miss Edis, no matter which team they were on. The evening was full of laughter and friendship.

As we move into Day 2, we’re ready for more fun activities like climbing, archery, and axe throwing. The students are excited and ready for more adventures!

Day 2

Another fantastic day on residential!

After an excitable night (and a few sleepy faces needing a gentle wake-up call from Mrs Ellis!), the students launched into Day 2 full of energy and enthusiasm.

Throughout the day, they took on a mix of exciting activities—including axe throwing, Jacob’s Ladder, indoor climbing, and archery. There was lots of laughter, encouragement, and impressive bravery shown across all the challenges. We were especially proud of the way students supported each other, whether they were reaching new heights or trying something for the first time.

In the evening, we celebrated Phoebe’s birthday with cake and a brilliant group sing-along! Then it was onto Archery Tag, which brought out everyone’s competitive side (and yes, the main target was once again Miss Edis!).

After such a full-on day, everyone settled quickly for the night—completely worn out but full of smiles.

We’re now ready for Day 3, with more hot weather, climbing, sensory trails, and a refreshing canoe session later today.
