Person Specification: Director of Learning - Farnham Learning Centre
Essential Requirements Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, or a related field.
• Proven qualifications in leadership and management, particularly in an educational environment.
Experience:
• Extensive experience in educational leadership and line management of staff.
• Significant experience of working with students with SEMH needs and awareness of SEND
• Familiarity with alternative education practices and methods.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and evaluating educational programs.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong leadership. team and middle management skills, fostering positive and inclusive environments (e.g. Head of Year, Subject Lead, Assistant Headteacher)
• Excellent organisational and strategic planning capabilities.
* Effective problem-solving abilities with a focus on outcomes.
• Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in educational technology and its integration into teaching practices.
Knowledge:
• Sound understanding of educational standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Awareness of safeguarding policies and practices to ensure student welfare.

• Empathy and commitment to supporting students with educational challenges.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to lead staff and connect with stakeholders.
